Yes, racial tensions really are that high. You have no idea. Poor blacks in particular are starting to hate whitey more and more, and while the reasons for this are as many as the day is long, I put the primary blame this sudden escalation of tensions on gentrification, where white liberals try to "fix" the inner cities by making them look beautiful and setting up coffee shops and all sorts of things. The actual result of this is that property prices go up, and none of the black families can afford to live there anymore. They blame whites for this. The ones who'd start the conflict would likely younger, ideologically driven conservatives/liberals. But significant portions, maybe even the majority, of blacks and latinos have come to resent white Americans, and most whites are oblivious to this because they are mostly segregated form them and they have an ideal for racial equality. I think most whites would be genuinely shocked to see the amount of resentment these two large minority groups actually have for them.

Depends on the area. In the midwest you're gonna get a perfect evangelical bible-thumping pro-Israel stereotype. Beyond that, it varies greatly. In the south you're gonna find a bunch of insane people, anything goes there. In my experience the Mormons are the least pro-Israel, along with a few Orthodox groups. But not pro-Israel doesn't necessarily mean anti-Israel.

Not a Texan so I can't say for certain. My guess would be that they'd secede to form an independent republic, and if the Confederacy also succeeds or if they're having trouble in their struggle for independence, they might be inclined to ally/join the Confederate rebels to strengthen their sovereignty.

As for the conflicts with black southerners, yes, there would be a lot, and it would be very nasty. But you have to understand that black southerners and northerners are very different. Northerners are the violent ones who form street gangs. Yes, there's lots of black violence and gangs in the south too, but mostly they're just fat. The obesity rate is approaching 50%+ for black southerners. So if civil war breaks out, that's half the southern black population dead immediately. The rest would struggle to organize effectively, and would likely lose against the white southerners, probably getting some sort of apartheid imposed by the new Confederacy as a solution to the violence.

>Russian citizen detained in Turkey for plot to shoot down US plane
Anti-terror police detained a Russian citizen and alleged member of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) in the southern Turkish city of Adana, Thursday, on suspicion of planning an attack on Incirlik Air Base.

Renat Bakiev is suspected of planning to use a drone to bring down a US plane at the airbase used by many of Turkey’s NATO allies, before going on to target members of the Alevi community in the area.

Anti-terror police were tipped off that Bakiev was scoping out sites close to the air base.
The Russian embassy in Ankara is looking into the reported detention in Turkey of a Russian citizen on the suspicion of terrorism, the Russian embassy’s press-attache Irina Kasimova told TASS on Thursday.

“Earlier on Thursday Turkish media said a Russian citizen identified as one R. Bakiyev had been detained in the country’s territory on what appears to be suspicion of terrorist activity. The Russian embassy is taking the necessary measures to look into the situation and clear up the affair,” Kasimova said.

>ISIL foils Syrian Army’s attack on strategic east Homs base
BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:45 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a counter-assault in the eastern countryside of Homs, Thursday, targeting the Humaymah area that is under the Islamic State’s (ISIL) control.

Led by the 18th Tank Division and National Defense Forces (NDF), the Syrian military stormed the Humaymah area, where they were confronted by a well-armed Islamic State forces.

Unfortunately, the Syrian military was unable to capture any territory from the Islamic State on Wednesday, despite the intensity of their attack.
According to a military source in Palmyra, the Syrian Army lost 7 soldiers during the attack on the Humaymah area, forcing them to retreat in order to avoid sustaining anymore casualties.

The Humaymah area is located northwest of the strategic T-2 Pumping Station, which is located near the provincial border of Deir Ezzor.

>Samir Geagea continues to attack Syrian government’s legitimacy
BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:05 A.M.) – The leader of the Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea, continued to attack the Syrian government from his safe quarters in Bchirri on Thursday.

Geagea claimed during a press conference that any communication with the Syrian government in Damascus should be deemed ‘prejudice’ towards one party in the ongoing conflict.

The Lebanese Forces leader also noted the absence of a ‘legitimate’ Syrian government, knowing that for any government to be legitimate, it should enjoy two main piers: internal legitimacy and external legitimacy.
Thus, Geagea considered that any communication with the Syrian government is tantamount to a prejudice towards one side over the other, saying: “if we recognize the government, then we must recognize all the Syrian groups.”

Geagea still harbors resentment for the Syrian government over his imprisonment for war crimes committed during the Lebanese Civil War, in which he carried out several massacres.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:45 A.M.) – The militants allied to the Syrian opposition have violated the truce in the rural Idlib countryside after attacking the besieged Shiite towns of Kafraya and Al-Fou’aa.

According to a Syrian government source, the militants struck residential neighborhoods and the only water tank inside the besieged area using a drone bomb.

The militants deliberately attacked these sites to harass the civilians in the besieged areas, disregarding the truce that they agreed to last year.
