I was just looking into the countries whom have deported Jews for various reasons over the last hundred years and I found these countries - Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Libya expelled over 500,000 Jews in 1948. Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon expelled another 300,000 Jews in 1967. Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria did the rest in 1967- 1979. Could this be another reason why the US and other western countries have been all about devastating these countries over the last few decades? Revenge?

Im sure it added to Israel's frustration and in turn, that of the US as well, as the expulsion of such a high number of jews would hinder their plans to expand their border substantially.
