because muh Roman oppressors. Jesus didn't give a shit about the Romans or what they were doing, contrary to what people at church have told me. He was raving mad about the pharisees and scribes though. Christianity was supposed to originally be a reformation of Judaism, because it was and still is corrupt as dog shit. At least that's how I see it.
