>Nuclear family
-family babysits, coops food purchases (Costco, fe), handyman work instead of contractors, etc.
>live within your means
-don't buy shit you can't actually afford to pay for RIGHT THEN
-avoid "credit" as much as you can
-cut everywhere you can, you don't need to pay for tv (you don't need that crap, neither do your kids!)
-wife cooks as much as possible "from scratch" - this saves a LOT right there
-garden, garden, garden or at least potted plants on your balcony (produce is expensive)
>reduce/reuse/recycle (yes libtard cliche but think about it),
-repurpose stuff
-mend clothes tastefully/hand me downs
in my family, when our grandparents came to visit we all went through our closets & purged, put it in bags and then went through the bags they brought from other relatives' houses they had visited that year
-used items are great, it doesn't mean abused or awful
>don't buy trinkets/novelties only necessities (i.e., liabilities instead of assets),
>network within your community like the Amish do
-barter pediatrician visits for land surveying or whatever my family did that in the 80s
>don't try to keep up with the Jones'
they are in debt up to their eyeballs and unhappy, there will be no inheritance for their kids who are probably traps anyway
-fads are for suckers
-that new phone is not that much different than the one you already have, you don't need a new one or a flatscreen that is 5" bigger
>maintain EVERYTHING you have at as high level as much as possible
-a 1990 Toyota Celica that is kept in really good condition is better than a brand new one that loses $5k in value the instant you drive 10 feet
>teach your kids valuable skills
-sons stuff like carpentry, mechanics
