So lets say that shit does start to hit the fan between the US

Nothing, they will sit and see how the world's confidence on the US as the news of korean and american civies and soldiers casualties keep mounting.

China and Russia will play the diplomatic card and hopefully this will make Europe turn to the BRICS as partners.

He is the one keeping the world together right now.

Russia isn't in a position to flex muscle beyond a local regional area.

They'll exploit things, diplomatically and economically, where they can and make profit behind the scenes. Probably use any conflict to pull historical allies closer and push those wary of US intervention further away from America (like Turkey...).

Beyond that, I don't see anything for Russia to gain by sticking their neck out. They still need to build their economy.
