There's a literal Maoist insurgency in pooland that's been going on since Mao was alive and funding it. They have upwards of 100,000 fighters and they skirmish with police and the military all the time. A cell of them has also extended to Nepal and was responsible for the Nepalese Civil War which they basically won.
