Yes, I've had my mind changed before.

But most of the time I don't lose a debate because I'm actually wrong, it's normally becaus I've not researched the topic enough. After reading into the topic of the debate I find things that back up my position.

Overall I think defeat is far more important in debate than victory. That sting you feel will encourage you to learn.
