How to improve /pol/:
1. Install 4chanX. https://github.com/ccd0/4chan-x
2. Set up some GOOD filters.
3. Set your default persona for /pol/ to sage: Options > Advanced > Quick Reply Personas: options:"sage";boards:pol;always
4. When you encounter an actual GOOD thread, unsage. Default key-binding is Alt-S. Otherwise don't worry about bumping shit threads.
5. Maintain your filters. When you encounter shit, filter it! You can test regexps using https://regex101.com/

2 ways:
On a canadian flag post, go into the post options (hover, little down-chevron appears, click), filter, flag. That opens the editor with a prefilled Canada regexp
The other way is just go into Options > Filters, choose Flag, and add /^Canada$/ on a newline
