I only get like 108 on most tests, honestly pretty dumb if i am going to be completely honest. You know, I used to believe being "gifted" had few practical implications, even though I got a 99th percentile score on our SAT (same thing essentially, the result being normally distributed and all that). I used to think that it didn't matter that I scored highly on tests like that. I was right, in a way. It's no guarantee for success and it doesn't always matter. But it does mean something.

I started having to demanding work with other people when I entered university. These people weren't exactly average intelligence either (I think the lowest admitting score was 85th percentile), but they were not quite on my level. I soon noticed how unreliable their performance could be. I saw how the quality of their work had to be managed and checked for it to be of an acceptable standard (to me, anyway), even though they themselves had no initial concerns about their own performance. Many would of course embrace my suggestions and, for lack of a better word, management of their performance. I noticed that things that I had assumed would be obvious or easy to understand for everyone at this level, maybe weren't so. I had to take responsibility for making sure that people understood not only what I said explicitly, but also the implications of it. I noticed that I often had to be the one figuring things out, and leading the intellectual work. I mean, I could step back and let someone else do that, which was fine really, but it would be frustrating at times when we weren't getting the results I had expected nor as quickly as I had wanted. So, perhaps due to other qualities I may possess as well, I learned how to lead. And what is my point here? It's that being gifted does mean something, and eventually you will come to realize this as well, if you put yourself into situations beyond the threshold at which it starts to matter.

You're wrong that IQ can only be tested via those "culture fair" IQ tests which don't include any words but you can't find a good IQ test online. To know your real IQ you need to be evaluated by a psychologist. A good quality IQ test should contain questions that are both "culture fair" and those that are not.

Noe on a new test 132. Most likely because I have been in a slump of bad for quite a few years.

The current major happening however made me realizes that I need to mobilize . I am trying to make others mobilize as well but shit man, I am bad at talking to other people. Still everyone must do their part if we want to survive and attain victory and glory! You may have sub par IQ but do not believe any ideologue or anyone else for that manner when they speak in absolutes. Nothing is 100%. Even math has exceptions because you can apply its own internal rules against it in certain fringes exceptions.

You may have a lower than average IQ, but you could be gifted in other areas and become a Specialist in something you are good at and like.

For example, in a pinch when no one was coming forward from out group on a visit to a different country, I got pissed off at this since I knew theory could do better then me. So I went forward, said some generic things, probably making clown if myself and then asked if anyone would like to add something invited looking at someone else who I knew was good with people. No one volunteers however. But they did praise me afterwards. For doing shit every single one of them could have said because I know each and every one if them knew the same shit.

I liked the prise but hated that I had to do it to preserve some dignity for us, and not look like fucking indecisive shits or cowards.

So, the lesson. Look for something that needs to be done when no one is doing it. If you are uncertain ask for advice on how to proceed or/and invite help from people who you think could do better. You may like it or not, but regardless of outcome someone at least did something positive, and can take pride in that. That you fucking saved everyone's asses from something they were to frozen to do themselves.

I look fondly at the outcome, but avoid shit like the plague.

But instead of low wage jobs, part timing or working full time but only for half a year and then going NEET for the rest. Repeat. Comfortable enough to pass the time in solitude.

No more. Now there is a war I can participate in! Getting s job. Reapplying to my Masters degree. Starting the way from skinny to fit. Started talking to people, even if just 'hi' or a nod to the drivers who stop at the crosswalk.

Just started of course so no results yet. Hope to keep. Commitment for a few months and then inertia and habit will set in. The next few months are going to be mentally and emotionally challenging , but that is a cheap price for survival and victory.

Some kind of spirituality helps to but I am going to remain mostly agnostic whit major flavour and bias to my family religion while learning and synthethise everything else I encounter in a DIY .
