Psychedelics are basically pesticides for ideology, don't expect most of /pol/ to support them because most people's world view becomes more nuanced and deeper after having a psychedelic experience. The ideology parasite in many peoples minds is what makes them afraid of the psychedelic, it tells them to stay away from it.

"ideology" is good for the masses. not everyone can handle being a free thinking maverick.

It disables your brain filters, making your mind more open to extarnal influences, which causes in-depth understanding of whatever you think about. So it can be a huge redpill if you focus on redpilled stuff during the trip. But it can also cause dellusions and ruin your focus if you let your mind just jump around thinking about random stuff. And I think this is the basic difference between redpilled and bluepilled individual - blupilled usually has basic (childish) level of understanding of many things, but higher level understanding of almost nothing. Redpilled person on the other hand has understanding of things that actually matter and ignores things that may only come as a distraction.

Tldr; it's degenerate if you let your mind open itself up to various brainwashing media (watching pro-refugee documentary while listening to new Lana del Rey's album) and it's redpilled if you plan your trip ahead and make most of it (by listening to Wagner and reading Marcus Aurelius).
