if death is preferable to life in prison, why doesn't every inmate serving life commit suicide? If prison is so bad, why do so many people who have become institutionalized continuously return to prison? The truth is, prison is not that bad. In fact, once people become accustomed to it, they prefer it to life on the outside.

We should take inspiration from the Soviets and force them to do all the awful jobs that no one else wants to do, and they eventually die from being overworked in order to prevent there from being an excess of them.

In a National Socialist society, you wouldn't NEED prisons because a united volk can reach a high level of social cohesion that eliminates the compulsion towards criminal behavior--besides the purely genetic.

I think that rehabilitation and resocialization would be ideal in such a system for all crimes that do not show a genetic proclivity towards antisocial behavior--those should be punishable by sterilization or death, depending on severity.

I'm not sure what we would do with them though.
The Soviets used theirs to build train lines and mines throughout Siberia.
Perhaps we could use them to industrialise poor areas and create jobs for the native populations.
Though personally I would want to use them to create new cities that don't look like complete shit, but that wouldn't really create much industry.
Usually that would cost a ridiculous amount of money, but if we didn't have to pay them we could take on big projects like that no problem.
