This church in Amsterdam from 1346 was demolish in 1908, because Catholicism became legal in the city and the protestantism din't want to let them to use this church. It's still a shame though. My forefather was buried there in the early 17th-century, but I don't think they removed his grave.

It's a empty building and someone wanted to buy the land. Maybe the local administration don't want tons of empty churches everywhere. 80% of churches in Europe are exclusively used by drug dealers to keep their drugs and having such a church nearby lowers the property prices and brings crime. If you want to maintain them so much then buy one of them.
