Let's face it; Atheism is so 2006. It's been kicked to the curb by everyone.
Atheists just can't get over the fact that they lost the culture war.
Let me take you under 18s back to the year of 2006:
>atheism on the rise on the internet with their voices getting more heard everyday
>atheist leaders like Dawkins, Harris, and (worst) Hitchens are respected voices in the community
>r/atheism is one of the top boards on bleddit
>corporate stores trying to push things like "Happy Holidays" and having "Holiday Trees"
Cut to today:
>Dawkins, Harris, and (worst) Hitchens (may he RIP) viewed as complete psychos for their insane political/social views
>r/atheism moved to the basement of bleddit because it was embarrassing euphoric garbage
>things like "Reason Rally" draw less than a Hitler impersonator at a bar mitvah
>atheist communities tear themselves apart over things like elevator gate (giving rise to New Atheism, and Atheism+, which are less successful than just regular Atheism)
>constant rape and sexual assault allegations at atheist conventions (even atheist leaders like Lawrence Krauss are accused...by other atheist leaders)
>"Happy Holidays" and "Holiday Trees" are a distant memory
>liberal atheists in Britain crushed by Brexit
And quite frankly all this bad stuff wasn't even needed. All it would have took was one euphoric quote and a couple of fedora pictures. Christianity is still kicking 2000 years later, and atheism is at it knees because of a jpeg of a fat guy in a fedora. Sad

there are scores of important news and policies in need of discussion, your dexter fighting mandark autismo religion vs none religion sliding thread should make you feel bad

I think atheism is just an edgy phase that teenagers go through.
The problem is that some people get stuck on it and base their entire existence around it. Pretty much like faggots basing their entire existence on shoving dicks up their holes.
You seem to be under the impression that atheists are trying to change the world to become atheists. The reality is that most of us aren't evangelists and don't really give a shit about what people believe. All we want is to keep religious institutions from having any authority over our lives. Which incidentally, if we consider that people like Dawkins are being attacked not for their criticism of Christianity, but instead for their criticism of Islam, could mean that it is more than just atheists that will be losing in the end.

i dont honestly give a shit if atheism is on the rise or not im going to keep being one because i can use basic logic to determine with occams razor that a Creator likely dosent exist
i could be the one athiest in the country and i wouldnt care i dont think like this as a joke t b h

Funniest thing is that pagan and atheist cucks trying desperately to prove Hitler was one of them and the only (((source))) the have on it is the infamous (((table talks)))

i dont honestly care if Hitler was an atheist mainly cuz im not a NAT-SOC

Now, I consider myself an atheist because of occams razor as well, but it's important to realize that this is not a logical device. There is very much the possibility that we are wrong. It's just that the hypothesis of no god is simpler and makes less assumptions, and is therefore more desirable than the alternative hypothesis.
If there were a logical argument for the non-existence of a God, I do not think theists would exist... or at the very least, they would not be numerous. But there isn't; it's a toss-up. We don't have evidence capable of debunking the possibility of a creator deity, nor do we have evidence supporting its existence. All we have are heuristics. Occam's razor is a useful heuristic, but ultimately it's only suggesting that one hypothesis is more probable, not that it is true.

Occam's razor says something doesn't come from nothing.

Oh you mean like God?
>>136459756
Where did God come from?

Hitler had the smarts to find something in Christianity he could use to direct blame on the Jews. Hitler didn't give as shit about Christianity, which is something I admire him for.

-There's a difference between Nazi Larping and National Socialism. National Socialism is a thing that doesn't necessarily mean as practiced in Hitler's Germany.
Hitler was being dogpiled by the world. It had to go full beehive to have a chance, and even then it couldn't overcome the forces arrayed against it.
