You guys actually liked this shit?
*slight spoiler below*
>watch dunkirk
>see 5 luftwaffe planes total
>pretty much attack one at a time
>at the end, a single (yet again) luftwaffe divebomber drops in to attack beached troop
>RAF guy with no gas flies in and shoots him down
>cheers
>later it's dusk and he's still gliding
>laugh
>audience member looks at me
>German luftwaffe bomber flying in to destroy battleship
>one of movie's characters is tailing in RAF fighter for 2 minutes
>German tailgunner is cross-eyed and firing everywhere except straight line behind him
>stormtrooper.jpg
>luftwaffe bomber gets shot down
>fellow amerifats in theater cheer
>>136396282
>hurr durr
>why didn't they fill the screen with a thousand CG planes and explosions like my favorite [insert capeshit] movie instead of using real planes ships and extras!?
>hurr durr
> /pol/ tells me the germans are actually kind of cool and respectable at the end
> in reality all you really see are some blurred wehrmacht guys surrounding beached royal airforce character yelling at him as scene fades out
>the end
well maybe the movie would have been different if the luftwaffe hadnt failed at dunkirk or the german army would have continued their push instead of stopping
PS if you are going to see the fierce street battles from the rear guard desparately trying to hold the shrinking lines, don't bother.
It only shows water stuff

>implying that squadron tactics in any side during world war 2 consisted of sending in 1-3 planes at a time to attack
