Selection Bias. Men who become philosophers are not the kind of men who women swoon for. If they were, they would never have bothered to delve deep into their own minds searching for truth. They would be too busy getting pussy to bother with all that noise.

This is obviously a problem for philosophers who, by definition, are obsessed with ideas that most people cannot understand. It's also why Hegel was so fortunate to be roommates with multiple genius philosophers for several years.
