dunno, during the war economy obviously it was mostly women who worked at home while males got enlisted, in a peaceful period though, probably the same that they've always done
can't say I've researched the private property of guns but I'd guess not, because of all the communist revolts germany had, but I think everyone's part of the military anyways

it's been a while since I've read these things and what a german from 60 years ago found important is different from what a modern day american finds important, like guns rights is just not a thing people cared about then and there so it's not a major topic, if anything europeans nowadays still don't care that much about gun rights, probably because we're not under a federal government and everyone has their own military anyways

money works the same, you work for the government, get paid accordingly, then you spend it on goods and services
I mean we had socialism here, it's not the same as some hippie commune that trade in fairy dust, it's just a different system of work regulation
