Liberalism in Hollywood and in the music industry is so powerful because it's so practical businesswise. Albums and films sell to everyone all over the world, so they can't afford to use conservative dogma. If you're trying to make a movie that is going to bring in white people, black people, Mexican people, your daughter, Muslims, and Buddhists, then you're going to make a movie with a liberal agenda. If you're going to make a movie that only sells to people from the Bible Belt, then you're going to make a movie about Chris Kyle.

At one time "liberals" railed against "the man" and seemed to fail to notice that they became "the man". The pendulum has changed course though and Hollywood will eventually reflect that. Even at their most obnoxious, they rarely were able to paint the state (big government) as the good guy. And even when they cater to overtly socialist markets (China) they end up stuck with generic CGI slop that gets a splat on Rotten Tomatoes. So other than some forced dialog, the storylines they produce often fail to support their own ideology. At least of the successful ones.

Korea and Japan cant be called as left wing as hollywood and the stuff they make is getting loved and appreciated by a growing number of people who are sick of Hollywood and the media's liberalism. Left wing entertainment and humor feel the same because they pander and have to reuse the same content in order to not offend.

The actors, directors, producers writers etc are mostly left wing but there are some right wing types among them. They just know to keep their mouth shut or they will be blacklisted. The grips, electricians, construction, medics, greens and pretty much anyone who does some sort of manual labor for the industry are typically right wing.
