I dont watch Varg but the paper was a bit misleading. Mycenaeans were also descendants of Kurgan Steppe pastoralists and this is evident in Y DNA as well as ~6%-15% DNA Steppe origin vs none in Minoans. This is similar for other southern Euro archeology studies. A small number of blonde Dorian warriors from the North East would have taken over the area and spread their seed among the conquered people. Different story further north where it was in many cases a complete population replacement during the bronze age.
