It took me 30 years. Pol books helped. Once you pop, you just can't stop.

16, but I didn't develop a habit of reading regularly until around 24. I think college can sap energy for autonomous learning. There simply aren't enough hours in the day. Immediately after graduation, you either crave the chance to finally learn whatever you want, or you're burnt out and don't care anymore. I think I was the latter. I needed to recharge.

Had to read an insane amount for college degree (history) then went on to become programmer because I also knew how to code. Stopped reading for a few years after that. Went to the beach one year, brought a good book, sat down, read, didn't stop.

>Read 76 this year so far
>Going for 130
>Mostly read literary fiction and essay collections.
>Quit video games, TV, movies, and YouTube years ago.
The more books I read, the more my life improves (self-help books are for faggots btw). I'm going to see how far this ride takes me. I'm sure I'll hit a wall eventually, especially once I reach age 30 and my brain nosedives.
