Let's discuss Michelle Carter, more undeniable proof that the founding principles of our republic are fading.
The Constitution provides absolute protection of speech in the first article of its long list of unalienable rights. Why? Well, because without the freedom to criticize, compliment, condone or correct the remaining articles are frivolous when trying to actually exercise.
At what point do we stop punishing people for exercising that right, simply to make people that are broken appear normal. This young man was not a functioning member of society. He never would be. Was it sickening of her? Absolutely. Does it show she is a shit tier person? Undoubtedly. But is it a protected right? Unquestionably. Was speaking a crime? No way.
Let's also address the fact that they DO NOT have actual messages between him and her, but rather are going off the messages she sent a friend AFTER the fact about their encounters. So not only can they punish you for exercising a right now, but they also can punish you with no evidence.
Could it not just have been her trying to look big and bad and tough to a friend to hide her sadness regarding the loss of her boyfriend? (Not saying I believe that, but it absolutely is a possibility and creates a SHADOW OF A DOUBT).
What do you guys think regarding this issue? Is it another blatant example of the Constitution being chipped away from underneath us? Or do you have a differing opinion, or want to add to it?
I just can't believe that this has gotten zero attention on /pol/ despite it being pretty unbearable.

The problem is I can see where it's an issue to cause mass hysteria by your speech. Or preying on people for sport. But this was a localized and individual event. And it only happened because the person was deeply disturbed.
So if you're told to kill yourself you're going to do it? Because the average person wouldn't.
You can't punish someone because the person they were talking to had a manufacturers defect.

Exactly. The fact that he did it is more of a representation of HIMSELF not her. She's a shit head no doubt but he was the one weak willed enough to do it.
If anything this should also reinforce the argument that western women are slowly but surely through exposure to other shit tier cultures, becoming worthless.
