I called this shit way back when Tay came out. Microsoft made her code open source. For someone with the know-how, it would be trivial to run the program through bots on reddit. Or if not the Microsoft version, then one of the many others, prehaps there are even private in-house conversation simulators that are owned by large PR companies or some other group, it's hard to tell how deep it all goes, reddit is small change compared to twitter, facebook etc. A large part of the R&D money in the software industry is going to this kind of thing, not necessarily chat bots, but rather machine learning and artificial intelligence. Sass seems like a bit retarded/autistic in my opinion.
He spends his time telling people off for swearing (literally you're not allowed to swear in the discord chat), and for not having avatars and stupid shit like that. Legit in the way he types, it sounds like he's autistic. It didn't feel like he was a mature adult scheming to take down the planet, just an autistic neckbeard.

Voice was filled with a bunch of stupid ledditors. Literally one of them asked "is Russia still communist?" as a serious question. Discussion is more like mods/admins talking. I can't remember whether it was Sass or a mod, but in voice they didn't sound very left-wing, or even very anti-Trump. They said that they thought the Congress healthcare plan (Ryancare) is actually all in all not bad (thought they'd obv prefer Bernie's plan).

My conclusion is that MAT isn't an ideological powerhouse (like lefty/pol/ is). It's just a bunch of useful idiots led by a giant useful idiot. They just do whatever they're told to do.

If you had a team of Coders you could build a shill battlestation kinda like multi tabling poker. With multiple accounts, notifications, prewritten responses, and human input when things get tricky. You could literally markov chain auto responses to drag people on tangents. With a small amount of NLP you could accomplish a lot, very quickly, just codify the shill book. You could easily be running 20 accounts at once. More, fuck knows the limits.
