Shills want people to think shills dont exist

by suggesting its bots, it may (1) get people to stop trying to find out who the shills are (2) get people to be overwhelmed by superior tech force
>>
Ya know I never really believed in shills being this widesppread.
Then you start noticing patterns, they all say very similiar things, in very similiar ways. There was a point where I once noticed that all shill accounts used the american flag in a thread, I assumed this was just because they didn't quite understand how to shill properly, but maybe its because all the bots are us-based?

This has been known for a while. 90% of twitter and reddit is bots. Virtually every comment you see has been generated by an algorithm not by a human.

I have heard in multiple cyber-security podcasts a few years ago that there are AI that sound just like 80 IQ humans now, but I can't remember which episodes they were though.
I do remember one of the guests on one episode was Robert Hansen (RSnake), and had some interesting things to say about the subject.

I called this shit way back when Tay came out. Microsoft made her code open source. For someone with the know-how, it would be trivial to run the program through bots on reddit. Or if not the Microsoft version, then one of the many others, prehaps there are even private in-house conversation simulators that are owned by large PR companies or some other group, it's hard to tell how deep it all goes, reddit is small change compared to twitter, facebook etc. A large part of the R&D money in the software industry is going to this kind of thing, not necessarily chat bots, but rather machine learning and artificial intelligence. I have no doubt that these things are everywhere, to the average person they are indistinguishable from regular users. 4chan requires a captcha for each post, but a pass costs $20 for an entire year and they regularly go on sale. There are probably quite a few bots on here as well.

What if these bots are the goal of ai chatbot research programs like tay.ai???

/pol/ is pretty good at fucking with bots, and we've seen the bots double post plenty of times from multiple id's at once. How can we apply the tactics used on tay to them without derailing a thread?

Pure schizophrenic bots yelling at one another. It's been like this, every single thread, for months on end and the mods can't do shit about it. It used to be you could tell human from bot by changing the Name bar but it seems recently the attacker has upgraded the bot to copy names of other people in the thread.
It's only a matter of time before this person gets bored of just shitting up one general on /vg/ and unleashes this thing on other boards.

This helps them to have a higher valuation for their company as well. I don't think they would like this information to become public knowledge at all.

It seems to be a case of 'scratch my back and I'll scratch yours'. By allowing these massive bot attacks on their sites, the owners are getting fat contracts from the CIA and are allowed to now report more usage and higher user counts on their site (which are not real). In return the CIA gets to project their propaganda more effectively.
>>
>>136178891

They buy 4chin passes for all the bots.
>>
>>136178891
I have thought on this as well. It is possible that they paid off Hiroshimoot in order to not need captcha.

But at the same time, the captcha is google, and google is an arm of the CIA so perhaps they are just allowed to bypass it by default, but I am sure that Hiroshimoot would want his cut of the pie as well.

apparently there's a toolkit that breaks google's captcha. just found it, will need to do some more digging

It could be this, they have someone manage a small amount of bots at a time doing their Captchas that the bot cannot solve itself. I would imagine there might be some Captchas that it can solve but not all of them.

Well the thread has gotten 270 replies in two hours. That's about 3240 captcha a day, running 24 hours. The first service I looked at charges $0.70USD per 1000 images.
So I guess if some autist/government agency had the will and spare cash to throw out a few bucks a day then it's possible.

As a side note, holy shit this website is funny.

the idea of /general/ threads are used to combat this. If there is an important topic, attempt to make it a regular staple, to attract desired people.

/pol/ or some members, used to think /pol/ was a place to meet and discuss views, educate, plan, but there are trolls, and people afraid of the population of /pol/s potential power, so it was felt the need to sabotage their communication channel, to make it more difficult to focus, to organize, to plan, to discuss certain topics

You think AIs aren't trained here? The endless flood of images with specific file names, completely nonsensical posts, off topic or otherwise cancerous and strange conversations. I noticed a while back that if you post in one of the suspected threads with a reply that is on topic and not yet been mentioned, replies will start coming ij that are similar to what you said, albeit with an image with a non randomised filename, and it will not address your reply, only start posting similar things.

I have a feeling that those are just people trolling. The bots, if there are any here, would try as hard as possible not to give themselves away. They wouldn't fall into a pattern like that because that's what old and clunky chat-bots would do.

It's hard for me to imagine what purpose a bot would have on /pol/ though, on reddit they can leave comments with liberal opinions and put them at the top, but if you did that here it wouldn't be effective at all -- anyone who leaves a reply like that would either be considered a troll or a shill. The only thing I can think of would be a bot that de-rails threads one way or another. Or a bot that spams threads that appear like normal /pol/ threads, designed to last for a while and get a lot of replies, but with "safe" topics as a method of effectively sliding the more harmful threads by hogging page 1 and distracting people.

Of course I believe that people are paid to post online. Most of the things with really competitive markets like VPNs have massive affilimate programs where VPNs pay thousands upon thousands for users to post postiive things about the VPN and buy good reviews on popular websites. See here {https://i.imgur.com/YLsJovx.png}

However 4chan is a BOARD nobody cares about this site and doesnt bother dealing with it they target more of the bigget fish like news agencies.

>>
>>136182555
You're right, there are probably many different types of bots that are using different methods. I was just pointing out that the more sophisticated bots probably behave more like shitposters and less like spammers. Which reminds me of the election when CorrectTheRecord had some documents get leaked, at the top of their 4chan strategy was the line "Shitposting seems to be the most effective method"
>>
>>136182321
yeah, the whole idea is grasping attention, controlling narrative.

There is an amount of people on /pol/ who have relatively extreme views about the world. They talk about conspiracies, attempt to educate anyone who stumbles on this site (with their radical views), and desire certain changes to the world.

If people did not like the potential for such people to gain power, to continue to organize, disseminate info, expand their membership, etc. one might see an attempt to disrupt this process, to distract, disorganize, derail etc.

Then there is the left vs right of it. People left, or who just need a job, think they are fighting the good fight, by disrupting a headquarters of their enemy.

Everyone knows reddit allows botting though. You'll see subreddits with under 100 subscribers get a front page post with 60 thousand upvotes. Then you go to the subreddit and every other post there is barely in the double digits. They changed their algorithm to effectively ban T_D from the front page if you aren't a subscriber. Users have an option to filter out subreddits they don't like, but le expert redditors counter it by using bots to upvote a post in a brand new subreddit.

Usually I can tell who's Jewing who but that thread (aside from the 1-post-ID's) was fucking difficult to discern.
The ability of seeming like /pol/ is usually much lower. Gave me a headache.

I think if we ever need to organize or say something important above the noise (like pointing to an emergency discord or something) we should come up witch a simple system - like making type into a jpeg that only people can read. Not foolproof but it can save us some minutes and we know it has a better chance of being a /pol/. Shills probably wont bother to fake it.

Imagine a decade from now, entire boards comprised of nothing more than well-synchronized AIs. its every single day, at every given time there are over 100 threads on pol. Every day there are the same themes and duplicate. And yea, when a certain thread does have sensitive information, a few bad threads are made, and a few bad threads are bumped to slide a good thread to archive or keep off first few pages

Anyone denying shills exist, anyone denying shills consistently on this board, either truly are ignorant of reality, or are a shill.

But they continue to fight for at least 2 reasons, obviously: to disrupt the conversation here, and also to ward off potential new comers who come across this site (who might think or have heard its a place of information, or randomly came across it, but then when they get here, and see all the black dick threads and petty buzzfeed click bait drumpf, they are turned off from lurking here'

If the core /pol/ user base was in charge of /pol/ obviously there would be more than 50% less threads made, and many bait threads quickly deleted.

This I would say is non-automated shilling.
Pictures like the ones highlighted (and filtered, hopefully), are spread around lefty circles and discords to go shill on pol with, since as we all know lefties can't meme.
Shills create tons of threads with these pictures (knowing that people see them as shill threads).
It's not designed to change people's opinions (that's best left to the automated refined bots who are really efficient), it's designed to dishearten people. Make people feel as if /pol/ is being taken over by shills and there's no point posting anymore. It kills the morale.
To a shill, the most important part of a post is a picture, it's the thing seen by everyone, even as they're scrolling through catalogs/boards.
It's equivalent to the headline on leddit threads, it's the thing that everyone reads, despite probably not going and clicking on the link

To expand on this, there's no real reason to get a bot to autoshill.
Paying some Pajeets to solve captchas is relatively cheap, sure. And keeping some threads bumped (just pick some responses like MOAR FAGGOTS etc. from a standard array, or pick a remark and give a poster a (YOU), etc. is definitively easy to do, and can slide threads effectively.

But I don't think that the average shill is done by bot just yet. Much cheaper to hire some young college true believer for minimum wage to shill.

Just have him write shit, and adhere to talking points etc. And even better, don't pay him per hour, pay him per shillpost, so that he has to shillpost REALLY HARD to even make minimum wage. He'll still do it because he's a fucking cuck.

Remember that a lot of the liberals are followers, and this is being exploited by the party leadership.

But you can tell if people are using 4chan pass (which literally no one but (you) has).
Captcha farms are actually fucking cheap. People in india spend their days filling in captchas for pennies.
However, guess what? This is something /pol/ will like. The new captcha system being rolled out everywhere is the new "Recaptcha 2" owned and operated by google.
Sometimes (if Google deems you to almost certainly not be a bot according to documentation), you won't get a captcha and it'll just give you a green tick straight away.
>How does it know I'm not a bot?
It collects as much data as it can, including your browser info, your cookies (whether or not you have the google.com cookie is a big deciding factor), AND the position of your mouse cursor on the widget as you go and click the box. No one knows conclusively how to beat the algorithm (although many-a blackhat have tried), however it is very possible Google gave the CIA or whoever is running the shills the backdoor trick into how to beat the captcha everytime, or maybe just what the algorithm is looking for and what you need to do, since the algorithm is always changing in another facet of Google's machine learning

Google has data on the entire fucking internet, and the NSA has data on every conversation that has ever taken place on the internet.

They have teamed and created an AI shill army to sway political opinion online. Do you really think this right-wing resurgence is perfectly organic? The NSA is an organization full of literal nazis who are trying to punk America into giving up all their rights. Google is going along with it because Eric Schmidt is a crypto-nazi who wants to create and AI hivemind and take over the world.

Scary fucking stuff ahead. Trump is 100% in on it btw.

Surely the technology to perpetrate this sort of scheme is readily available to those with the resources, and why wouldn't they?
Of course they will try to suppress /pol/, mostly everyone is aware of 4chan, it's so accessible. Anyone who get's curious and checks it out will become inundated with all sorts of ideas that globalist kikes don't want you to think.
So why not just dump so much shit into the mix that it just seems retarded at first glance?

Unfortunately addressing shills only further fills the board with useless shit, it's quite effective really.

Real shit, I was on the MAT discord (banned now) and Sass let me stay even though I was openly for-Trump and called everyone faggots. One of the mods tried to ban me, and Sass came and stepped in and let me stay because he liked my avatar

Sass seems like a bit retarded/autistic in my opinion.
He spends his time telling people off for swearing (literally you're not allowed to swear in the discord chat), and for not having avatars and stupid shit like that. Legit in the way he types, it sounds like he's autistic. It didn't feel like he was a mature adult scheming to take down the planet, just an autistic neckbeard.

Voice was filled with a bunch of stupid ledditors. Literally one of them asked "is Russia still communist?" as a serious question. Discussion is more like mods/admins talking. I can't remember whether it was Sass or a mod, but in voice they didn't sound very left-wing, or even very anti-Trump. They said that they thought the Congress healthcare plan (Ryancare) is actually all in all not bad (thought they'd obv prefer Bernie's plan).

My conclusion is that MAT isn't an ideological powerhouse (like lefty/pol/ is). It's just a bunch of useful idiots led by a giant useful idiot. They just do whatever they're told to do.

>How'd you get banned?
You're gonna love this. In the end, I got banned by Sass himself, for saying the following: "(((Federal Reserve)))".

If you had a team of Coders you could build a shill battlestation kinda like multi tabling poker. With multiple accounts, notifications, prewritten responses, and human input when things get tricky. You could easily be running 20 accounts at once. More, fuck knows the limits.

Does left and right politics and culture exist?

The first question you are asking and answering is: why does the left want to make it difficult for the right to gain numbers and power on /pol/, and then you are wondering why that wouldn't extend into the greater world?

Very nice digits get. I agree that Trump is a dangerous individual and a threat to our diverse way of life.

Could be multiple applications
One scans text, dumps into a java machine
The java machine generates text based on key words and preassembled sentences
One swaps IPs
Another literally copy/pastes the pain text dump into the 4chan post and they might have a way to get passed the Google authentication.

They might talk to each other by mistake. They can't tell a bot from a person, and they're programmed to troll.

Watson-like AI? government controlled ai that fake public opinion. this is why all the polls showed Clinton crushing it, because it was based on social media and online polls which were manipulated by the ai.
