2006 to about 2011/12 ish the internet was actually different because it was actually apart from the mainstream media and itself. these days the memes get FED INTO 4chan and are not funny unlike how it used to be (the other way around).

It's anonymous, there is no censorship, and people talk about a wide range of topics. 4chan is not social media. The current social stagnation of teenagers is not because of 4chan or other imageboards like it. Being born in '95 and not getting a cell phone until high school, I can see the difference in my peers. While I try to catch myself and stay off my phone everyone around me is glued to theirs. Last night I went to a party with 20~ people and there was a solid 1 hour of everyone looking at their phone, not talking, and having music/tv on in the background. It's a weird feeling :/

I am 100% redpilled. I live with my father in a house, and work at an office as an office clerk where I browse internet 7 hours of my work.
I have two Master degrees but do not pursue any challenge in life.
My salary is enough for me to travel twice per year to Thailand and have sex with ladyboys for two weeks each.
