Is the US Rome 2.0?
>formed by breaking away from a kingdom
>grew and conqured the local land, then half the world by conquest (or in the US case, puppeting)
>gets so large that it's fall would indirectly collapse half of the world
>much of the US federal imagery is copy pasted from rome
>highly effective military, but has unforseen weaknesses that are eventually exploited
>civil war
>the major rival empire is defeated (ussr/carthage)
>golden age
>golden age slips away becuse corruption and the state becoming enriched by conqured barbarians
>poor class vs the rich class
>populism , Trump/gracchus
>politics becomes not just corrupt, but also growingly unstable
>gets bogged down in the middle East
We have our faults, but we did not put the Bogs into the Middle East.
