While all the drugs are bad, alcohol is legal, because it has always been a traditional part of our culture. We can't ban it, because people don't want it to be banned. We do not allow some other drugs for the same reason, because nobody wants to, except the junkies.

Perhaps junkie wasn't a good choice of word, but one thing remains certain. You like to get high on shrooms. And there is no other reason why anyone would ever fight for their legalisation except for being a consumer. Your average person couldn't care less and that's why it remains illegal.

As for me, I believe it's a good thing. Not because mushrooms are dangerous, but because I can't think of any more shallow and low-grade way of spending your time than doing drugs. It's best if it's illegal, because at least it won't get comercialised and encouraged. But hey, not everyone thinks the same way I do. I would even ban listening to rap if I had the power to do so.
