People eventually group up for some advantage, other groups form to protect themselves from the first group, and so on. The end result is government, once the groups get too large to function without centralized cordination.

Eventually power consolidates into 2-3 main bodies. Barter gives way to monitary systems. With those higher numbers of people come economies of scale. Production becomes highly efficient, resources become abundant, capitalism thrives, and people reproduce until diseconomies of scale take over.

Eventually some degree of socialism is used to temporarily offset the growing pains, and soon after that, the carying capacity of each groups resources is fully exceeded, and collapse into anarchy happens.

Rinse, lather, repeat.

Every so-called "economic system" is a transition state into the next. All eventually fail, all eventually repeat. What we argue about in politics is just about which step of the cycle we try and drag out the longest.

Most of the examples of ancap-like behavior I've seen are at the community level. When you start having to manage multiple communities, then a whole state, then multiple states I think central planning is the decision most people jump at because "how could you get those groups to work together without centralized authority?". This is the question which would have to be adequately answered in a functional and sustained libertarian/ancap society.
