STRATEGY

Contamination.
1. Start and shill a twitter hashtag, #OPERATIONPAYBACK or something - post suggestions.
2. Message all youtubers that might be affected and ask them to promote the use of the brave browser.
3. Other places to spread:
-/biz/ is very into crypto and are generally redpilled and will buy and shill the hell out of this coin in the crypto-community because they know they hype and adoption will increase the value of their portfolio.
-TRS, DAILYSTORMER, all those good goys.
-The_Donald and reddit in general, all the alt-light boards.
-Normiebook, but only use talking points 2, 3 and 4.

TALKING POINTS.
1. Google is a monoply and this is a breach of first ammendant rights - the obvious one.
2. Google is dangerous! They make their money from scammers buy selling malvertising! - this is a huge issue, I recommend you google up on the issue of malvertising and googles role in it for material to scare normies away from trusting google.
3. You can save money. Most of the content you download from webpages is ad content, this eats up your data on your phone. The Brave whitepaper cites research that claims that downloading advertising content costs the average American over $200 dollars a year. Save $200 dollars and year!
4. Because you aren't downloading ad content everything is much faster and all the web pages are much cleaner!

OK guys this all I can give you. This is most effective protest I can think of to counter the youtube crackdown, if no one has a better idea then we might as well funnel all our efforts and meme magic into this.

Got a new laptop a while ago and this was the only browser I downloaded. Still some problems in the limited plugins and options for things (compared to chrome) but overall it's good. Would recommend, more users = more optimized for everyone.

I'm just worried that since browser ID is shared with websites you visit, this may effectively turn into a honeypot kind of thing. For example, only a certain group of people may use Brave, white supremacists, Nazi, or whatever, and I may be marked as such. And then Facebook or Google will readily have lists of people whose lives they can easily make a living-hell in terms of finding a job and stuff.

I don't know, these days I've resorted to just using different browsers for different stuff, and pretty much just the four popular ones. I think that's the safest way to go about the web these days. One dedicated browser for Facebook, one for Google, and one for everything else.

Has anyone got a list of YouTubers we can contact?

I saw one earlier but I can't find it now. If you can find it I will go through the list and get all the contact details so we can spam the youtubers with details of the operation to get some of them on board. It is their incomes and profiles on the line so they will be willing to go all in if we can present the idea as credible.

If you don't pay them, users will not see your ads (unless they disable blocking altogether). It's not quite a whitelist like AdBlock uses but it's almost the same thing - extortion. I've been using Brave for most of this year. I like it except you can't open saved WebM's in it and there's all sorts of websites I've never been to in my predict bar. Shit like fosshub.com and fastcompany.com are my top choices even when I have never visited those sites before. How do I fix that?
