Does this shit concern anyone else or am I just paranoid?
I realize that it's your choice to send your DNA to a company to have it analyzed. Some might argue that it's totally harmless because if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear.
Does this not then normalize a populace to regulation of DNA collection as a mandatory process for all citizens; An act that would be unconstitutional?
"The rule, which went into effect on January
9, 2009, in part directs federal agencies to
“collect DNA samples from individuals who are arrested, facing charges, or convicted . . . under
the authority of the United States.” 28 C.F.R. §
28.12(b). In relation to persons arrested for or
charged with federal crimes, the effect is to
add DNA to the types of identification information that are routinely taken in booking, generally on a par with fingerprinting..."

Perhaps I am being paranoid, but I've seen the way social networks can advertise to you based on your activity. People have security systems that include cameras all over their home Kinect is another example. The webcams pre-installed in laptops and cellphones. Microphones, too.
It's unsettling.
