It is true that people can upload videos to other sites that aren't so censored as Youtube. These sites are very similar to the real word spaces like Walmart, McDonalds, etc.; places that are public, but that can remove people when they do something against the store rules, which are within the law. The internet spaces are a different beast, this is true, but they are still given the same type of consideration in law; that a company can remove users because those users are causing disturbances and bothering other customers.

But with all that said, something like Youtube isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It has become too large to be replaced or taken on by a new competitor. Much like Google in the search engine game (and many other games), they have the infrastructure and the brand has too strong of a grasp on the public. So as it becomes even larger, we will have to reconsider how these companies can manipulate and censor their content. It is becoming very much an issue of controlling narratives and creating spaces where "wrong think" are not allowed. It will become even worse in the near future when these popular sites are the only ones accessible through most major ISPs (at least with a decently fast connection; throttling everything else). This is a scary thought, because it means the technology has regressed; it is back to the tv stone ages when the MSM could easily trick the population into believing x is true or x is not true, because there is no other contradicting view points. The internet is finally starting to appeal to the tv Gods who wish for it to become a "channel service", where you are allowed x amount of "channels" or sites with your internet package.
