Is the need for a pluralistic power structure essential for ensuring maximum economic prosperity & adherence to public interests (as seen in successful capitalist societies) present within larger corporate entities acting as de-facto political forces?

What im getting at is, every successful state in the world avoids having someone gain a monopoly on power by maintaining a pluralistic power structure, wherein which no one has "total" power. But is this idea present within corporations, many of which might one day surpass states in sovereign power?
