Here in Spain the Partido Popular (PP) is considered fascist, so some people against PP tend to go towards anti-fa i.e. communism/marxism.
The biggest thing i always here about them is that there have been many cases of corruption. This is the case with both the socialist party (PSOE) and PP and a lot of people around my age 18-24 really believe Podemos will make a change.
I think whoever is in power will be corrupted and don't think electing podemos will do any difference. I do think it could be dismantled by someone inside PP.

I know some people who say things like "viva Franco" and friends think they are joking or whatever. I chatted with a few and they are much more open minded about politics compared to communists or more left leaning people i know. I do think there's a problem with nationalism in the sense that it's not seen in a good light. Spanish Flag = Fascista.

In Spain it's because of inferiority complex and self-hate, I think. And it doesn't come only from ol' Franco times, many people here always talk about how horrible we were for going to America to "kill and enslave people"; yesterday I read (for the 100th time) some people complaining about the Columbus monument in Barcelona because it represents muh racism, muh colonialism and muh enslavery. It's white guilt basically.
I guess that those people think that being a self-hating commie/progre aiming for multiculturality, diversity and all this shit is what will make us get to the level of modern european states.

We had many commies before Franco because We had one dictatorship under Primo de Rivera that was both Military and... somewhat conservative, so people didn't want to hear much about the subject.
