No, there's a ton more to the equation than just that, economics is extremely complicated and generally the people who think they understand it the most, like libertarians and ancaps, in general have very little actual understanding of it, and what understanding they do have is stuff at a very basic low level which barely has anything to do with important macroeconomics.

What the socialist get wrong is that a good chunk of humanity are closer to lazy, greedy, hedonistic, apes.
If allowed to spend their days lounging around getting their dick sucked and eating cheesy poofs they would. They only thing that used to stop people was two things.
1. You simply could not lounge around unless you were truely wealthy with no work income streams.
2. Society looked downs on everyone who actually did this as immoral scumbags.
Technology in the economy is allowing some of the first to happen through gains in production and taxing the producers. While the moral degenerate is destroying the second.
When AI can provide the basic necessities and cheap vices it will turn society into a hell. It is happening now actually.

So they come up with a theory that looks like it would work if everyone is a descent human being with a love for the community. But the reality is what I wrote above. People are scum if you allow them to be.
