I'm not saying "cigarettes are good for you," but the fact that so many people become so absolutely emotional and out of joint when cigarettes are brought up really demonstrates the brainwashing going on. Smoking is addictive, and alcohol is not.

Smokers also create an infectious culture. They sit around smoking and not being bored just sitting and smoking. This makes those that must live around them bored because everyone is just sitting there sucking on smoke.

Then, out of sheer boredom the people around them pick up a cigarrette and smoke.

Should you want to quit you are perpetually surrounded by people doing the thing that you crave and you will be bored as ever, except now you are jonesing for a smoke. You need to find other healthy habits to replace your smoking habit, but everyone is doing nothing but smoking right in front of you.

The campaign is necessary to drive the smokers out of sight so those who want to quit aren't tortured by it.
