We're not much different, but because real life has failed to give us sufficient opportunities to grow as men, to wake up and genuinely feel excited to accomplish something, to set out in a task with a sense of purpose and belonging, many turn to games that are specifically designed to recreate those feelings. Isn't really shocking in all honesty, I don't play vidya anymore but if you ever actually played them or spoke to some one that plays them, it's obvious why teens and young men in particular are drawn to them.

Games have more or less ruined my life. You feel a small sense of accomplishment ranking high on a leaderboard but everyone, no matter how naive, knows it doesn't mean anything. I grew up playing consoles all the time and it is just something that stayed with me into adulthood. It's an addiction because doing well in game releases dopamine giving happiness. Likewise doing poorly in game comes with feelings of anger and disappointment. It's easy to say walk away but for someone like me it's been a long time and I wouldn't even know how to let go of it. I've pretty much accepted the fact I will never have kids or be married. I know I should feel bad, but I don't, because gaming is too important. I sometimes daydream about the pretty girls I never met and the life I never had. So I put a game on and stop thinking about it. My advice to parents on here is if you allow your kids to play video games make sure it is only a small part of their activities.

Play games way less than I used to but I understand the appeal. I don't really know about the big cities since I came mainly to visit the churches and the monasteries on the mountains. It's doesn't look that bad from quick glimpses that I got as I was passing through the areas/cities.The villages are perfectly safe and the villagers are friendly, nice and welcoming.
