Because 'whites' means nothing. It is a construct of principals set in motion after the French Revolution, where the old system is now split into progressive and regressive ideals.
'White' is a concept birthed from the New World, to teach the proletariat that 'they too have a race' when the reality is that only the aristocracy and nobility has a race.

We are the riff raff and for centuries we are caught between the war of two fractions. The aristocracy, which worked for us great, and another fraction who seeks to destroy the bloodlines of old. Bit by bit they have killed off the noble bloodlines during each war, and they have now (according to them) 'set us free'. Part of this 'setting free' is to convince mutts (as most of humanity is) that 'they have a race', so that the other half can 'work against that group' to create a 'colourful multiculturalism'.
