I'm 29 and the vast majority of the males in my family are either unemployed or working part-time in shitty jobs they hate. These males all come from either middle-class or upper-middle class families. None of them see the point in doing anything. Video games aren't the cause, they're just what these males have fallen back on because they believe for them there isn't anything worth pursuing out there in the real world.

The chances of them finding a job where they could actually afford to move forward in life is extremely low, even with university level education (outside of medicine) I feel like it's a combination of things, not just 1 thing. All these things have come together at our time and made some men feel like it's just not worth trying.
