yeah... I love land rovers, but buying a used one is soooooo stupid. They are too finiky to buy used, and you live in America, which means getting the parts and labor will be stupidly expensive.

Put the same cash towards a used 4runner or get an old Jeep Cherokee(the one they discontinued in 2000). You'll be far better off in every way except when the land rover is running at 100%... which it wont be ever, unless you rebuild it.

I have a 2000 cherokee and love it. I also had a 1999 4runner I rolled and loved it. The jeep was 2500$ with 115k miles on it. The 4runner was 5k with 160k cause of Toyota tax. Both of those have a healthy part aftermarket and relatively cheap to build for overlanding or straight up trails
