Modern white societies tend to go out of their way to cater to parents and will support you in more ways than just financially. Also there is no "best age" for having children. Nature assumes pregnancy from as early as 12 year old for females. In fact having children that early means that the grandparents, who have more resources and experience in child raring, will take care of the child, which is actually beneficial for the survival and well being of the offspring.

Regarding marriage, it's a leftover from a time where social stability and welfare was not state organized, meaning that a female thrown out on the street was going to suffer and possibly die.
