"For me, Stalinism was even a greater philosophical problem than Nazism. Under Nazism, if you were a Jew, you were simply killed, no questions asked, you had nothing to prove. Under Stalinism, of course, most [victims] were on trial for false accusations; most of them were not traitors. There is one interesting feature: that they were tortured or through some kind of blackmail forced to confess to being traitors."

*sniff*
wtf i hate communists now
>>135305633
stalinism was the ultimate PC totalitarianism out there. It pretended it didn't care about race, ethnicity, creed ... you were a free subject, equal before the law, like any other soviet citizen - what that actually meant is that everyone was a potential target for the NKVD, they didn't kill you because of your ethnic origin, they said, but because you were an "enemy of the people" - a term that could be applied to anyone anytime.

Is this intentional?

Zizek is one of the best and most insightful critics into the problems of neoliberalism, capitalism, and even identity politics/political correctness (and so on and so on) but the right barely acknowledges him since he's a marxist. Sad!
>>135306674
We have Nassim Taleb to do that shit with flicking his nose and slobbering everywhere.

Because it gave legitimacy to the paranoid witch-hunt.
In any case, it's not that the Nazis were any less fanatical and brutal, it's that Germany they seized still had powerful elites which limited Hitler's power, while in Russia former elite ran away or was murdered, and Bolshevik power was absolute. They had to compromise far less.
In any case Stalin was a far more fearsome character than Hitler. Hitler was a failed artists, Stalin was a Georgian bandit.
>>135306410
nothing wrong with it, enemies of states are everywhere
>>135306674
Kek
He's funny to laugh at and with, and has some insight, but he's simultaneously a degenerate materialist.
I was raised by leftists and was unironically a fan of this guy when I was younger. It's easy to see how more reasonable people just don't give him the time of day at all. I don't blame them. Fucking autist.
>>135306674
did you really expect better from the (((right)))
literally everyone is sheep
>>135306565
No, dork-ass, it's completely accidental.
>>135306674
Because right that populates this board is just a bunch of semi-literate anti-intellectual people, and some like Hitlerboos are literally cultists. Think of it as a more evolved fetishism. They rarely understand the substance and complexity, and they lack the intelligence and knowledge to do so.
You shouldn't start with Žižek, you should start with Marx. Yes, he was wrong about many things, but you can learn so much from him. Just because people who expanded on his ideas fucked up doesn't mean he was wrong about everything.
>>135305633
>Under Nazism, if you were a Jew, you were simply killed, no questions asked
>>135307880
But that's right. Your crime was being Jewish. If you were Jewish, you were guilty.
>>135305633
>Under Nazism, if you were a Jew, you were simply killed, no questions asked
1. how does that commie fucktard explain evacuation efforts of "concentration camp" jewry in 1944?
2. how does that communist asshole explain the fact that Zyklon is highly ineffective against humans and is still sold as pesticide?
3. how the fuck he explains kike survival stories of getting gassed three times and walking out every time?
KILL SLAVOJ ZIZEK. Too dumb to live, too ideological to live, too communist to live.
>>135307953
In Russia, you were killed for being Ukrainian.
>>135306410
This is essentially how Putinism works, now with more capital to steal and an international laundering service for the capital.
>>135308138
No you weren't. Bolsheviks in fact endorsed Ukrainian identity and created Ukraine. Inform yourself more.
>>135307953
Yeah... no... They weren't killed, they were put in slave camps. There's a difference.
>>135306869
*pulls shirt*
>>135307743
Then why are countries thriving on the free market always more successful?
What is "real" communism Marx spoke of?
>>135308424
Extermination camps.
>>135308437
You completely misunderstood me, but I'm not surprised.
My point is not that Marxism works in practice, especially not Marxism-Leninism which we had historically, and it's more radical or a bit less radical derivatives.
My point is you can learn a lot by reading Marx, and draw your own conclusions.
>>135305633
That's exactly the reason why all marxists should be murdered right now, and enact laws for executing anyone in the future who are caught being Marxists.
>>135305633
Oh for fucks sake, European Communism was created by Jews, it was led by Jews, and its worst atrocities were orchestrated by Jews. I've yet to see a single worthwhile refutation of those simple facts.
>>135308623
>Extermination camps.
Is that what professor Goldenstein told you?
>>135308623
>Extermination camps.
Didn't exist.
>>135308437
>semi-literate anti-intellectual people
Yep. You're one of 'em, Sven.
>>135307194
waek up sheeple xddd
>>135307036
Degenerate materialist? From what I've read/heard of him, he focuses mostly on the ideological superstructure and on psychoanalysis instead of the material base, as is common amongst neo-Marxists. He certainly doesn't seem to think ideas are secondary, they are formative of our reality. Honestly he is more of a Hegelian than a Marxist anyway.
>>135306674
Zizek is the only leftist I've ever seen who has a sense of humor and it's why I have an immense respect for him.
>>135308301

So textbook Frankfurt School stooge then like Adorno.
>>135312367
he's incohesive, intresting and critical of most of the left nowadays. However I have a feeling in many of his talks that he just goes on and on and is not making any clear, again cohesive point. His logic sometimes confuses me, i. e.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xALYIFyQrbA
he recognizes cultural differences but somehow thinks not allowing refugees is a threat to Europe??
anyways if someone can sum up his main points i'll be gratefull.
>>135305633
quit shlomo
>>135306674
On the left, the fact that he is BASED and pisses off my liberal mates is immensely satisfying.
>>135307743
Marx was a better critique than most economists.
His solutions were terrible.
>>135314416
His main points are deconstructing anything which doesn't fundamentally help bring about an economic revolution away from the money-men shekelmeisters.
>>135315335
"Let's destroy everything that prevents a communist revolution!" Somehow a literal Frankfurt School stooge is supposed to be /ourguy/

Time to take the dialectical idealist pill
