What's the correlation between depression and right wing

Cynicism doesn't have to make you right-wing. I'm very cynical and left leaning. The more poor people the are, there more crime there will be. Right-wing economic views create more poor people by widening the gap between rich and poor. Sure there's crooked left-wing politicians too, but I see right-wingers serving the interests of the rich far more; it's what their entire platform is based upon.
You also have to realize that when you see things you have to try to empathize with the other groups of people out there.
What if you were a muslim - you were born and raised to believe it was the one true faith in the world. Then some terrorist jackasses blew up bombs all around the world - some may have even killed your family. Then a war drives you out of your homeland, and when you flee to another country - the people there absolutely fucking hate you. They think you're a potential terrorist from the get-go.
What the fuck do you do? It's not like you can go change everyone's mind by being a good citizen - there will always be new people you will encounter that will hate you for what you were born as.
This is just an example. I can't discuss every right-wing faction or every right-wing political view. There are some left-wing views I disagree with too, but in my eyes the two greater evils are unregulated capitalism (including the notion of trickle down economics) and fearmongering that drives you to hate people of other races, ethnicities, or religions just because its so easy to lump everyone together.

The problem is that by thinking that way you are proving you are a western educated man. Very few people outside western societies thinks that generously way. So you are fucked by your compassion. So you are gonna see your world dissapear by being true and well meaning. So you are as right as you are fucked.

We need more educated people - more people going to college. If you're poor, you're probably much less likely to do that. We need more scientists working on inventing new ways to improve our specie and our ways of living.
Maybe if we get smart enough, we can change the DNA of the violent to make them less violent. Our closest non-human relatives alive today are chimpanzees - those fuckers can get really violent. It is in our nature to be violent towards other groups and tribes. However, we didn't get to where we are now by letting nature dominate us.
You're worried that the less intelligent will overrun us - the solution is not only to entice them to be smarter, but to remove things from their lives which can distract them from becoming smarter.
Perhaps we'll make breakthroughs in cloning and be able to clone humans who are better in every way, but still share our views - willing to fight evil, but also determined to protect everyone who isn't hell bent on destroying the lives of the innocents.
Maybe we'll finally figure out how to travel through space quickly, so that we won't have to fight over land and resources on Earth so much.
Maybe we'll figure out a way to turn energy into complex forms of matter quickly, removing the need to grow food or manufacture goods.
The answers to our problems still can be solved with scientific advancement.
It's true that there are terrible people in the world - but that's why we have police, spy agencies, and armies. No matter what age you are, what level of education you have, or what profession you're in - you should always be trying to innovate for the sake of humanity

There is a book by Stanislaw Lem that talks about a society that removes all primitive and violent behaviour by genetic engineering. The moral of that book is that you can't remove "hell" from human nature without removing "heaven". Is just a book but I think that you can't mess with human behaviour and still get a human society. And besides that I think is just a logistic non sense.
