Trump to repeal Congress's insurance when?

>>
Trump may have to improvise a really nasty linguistic killshot for McCain. Problem is, the man is a genuine wild card- his death sentence leaves him with nothing to lose, and nothing to profit from, and on top of that the Congressional make-up is perfect for a guy like him- neutered star power and a damn-near evenly split electorate.
>>
>>135252368
McConnell, Pence, Reince.
>>
It's absolutely farcical to suggest that Republicans will lose senate seats in 2018. I believe all of the toss. In battleground states there will be 2 repubs and 8 dems. 7 of the 8 dems in battleground states are in states Trump won, several by large margins. 1 of the Repubs is in a state hillary won.

You can generally expect at this point for the Repubs to gain ~3-5 seats in the senate in 2018. Expecting less than that is delusional..

Democrats are the governing party. Republicans are and always will be opposition. Even when they deliver the president, the GOP opposes the White house. Funny actually.
>>
The next few weeks are going to be about framing the 'responsibility' for Obamacare and what happens to it. Democrats- just going by Schumer's speech after the vote- are going to try and frame the eventual failure of Obamacare on the Republicans failing to come up with a 'merciful' alternative, and in doing so frame the argument that they have the high ground and Obamacare should be 'fixed' instead. That gives them the optics victory going into 2018 if they succeed.

yeah the low end is a few seats
a "win" in 2018 is approaching a gain of ten seats
Trump isn't starting a disastrous war and is doing everything he can via the executive
also I'd say much of the blame is falling on the Republicans in congress
people know that Trump will sign whatever comes across his desk at this point, yet the Republican legislature can't pass anything
also they were blatantly exposed about their desire to repeal Obamacare

California alone has the most sanctuary cities. Do you truly, truly believe they're smart enough to balance a budget enough to be able to afford their illegals and all their other services? It will become very apparent in those cities where cuts are going to be made. I don't know if you noticed, but this is what's called setting a precedent
First you remove their perks
Then you introduce an extra tax just to target them. Lets call it the ICE funding act, which taxes these cities to fund ICE. After all, they're the reason ICE needs more funding.
Then you pull some more of their perks, maybe there's a few subsidies going somewhere near it.
Then the "Illegal crime prevention act" or something goes through, which makes them pay for even more

And then you just keep pushing it until they give up and comply with policy

I'm looking into the senate race. Of the 8 battleground dem seats, 5 seem like we will very likely win them. These 5 (Montana, North Dakota, Missouri, Indiana and Ohio) are states Trump won by a large margin and the candidates barely carried in 2012 (a presidential year with Obama to carry the party). Of the other 3, 1 is very unlikely (Wisconsin) and the other 2 could go either way. West Virginia, but Manchin is basically a Republican and Florida where the popular Governor could do really well.

Overall I'm gonna predict we get 6 seats. As for Republicans we have 1 where we probably win but could go Democrat, I'd say 80/20 in our favor. So around 5-6 seats in the next election.

> what is single payer anyway and why is it seen so bad ?
Single payer is NHS anon. It can never work in a country as big as the United States because of the immense population and the general expectation (proven countless times) that anything run at a federal level will be a gigantic mass of dysfunction, waste and overall suck.

It is also not something envisioned to be taken care on the federal level but on state level. California could have (and even voted for) single payer anytime they want. Why don't they have it? Why should people in Montana, who very much prefer their own way to run their own healthcare, be forced by the federal gov to contribute into a fund whose the majority of it would end up paying for care of people in Cali and NY? (See Medicare and Medicaid, pic related).
The closest analogy of that would be if all of a sudden Brussels passed a law in the European Parliament forcing EU wide single payer in all of its constituent countries. It would be stupid because each national state today has the autonomy to choose what's best for them and it's not Brussels to say otherwise.

They'll vote for everyone else but McCain. He just hurts himself behaving that way.

Republicans have no realistic path to winning 60 Senate seats in 2018, so if they need 60 votes then Obamacare will never be repealed.

Easier to blame other than yourself. Happens a lot in the state and local level. People believe it's other states fault, that they're the retards and their candidates are the sane ones. So they vote whoever sweet talks them the most and blatantly ignore their faults while carefully scrutinizing the other states' officials.

/pol/ is quite dumb with the whole keeping up the ropes thing.
Guillotines are quicker, more precise and easier to use.
No need to be expert at doing the laces, getting the head angle right to snap the neck etc..
Just lay, pull the lever, take the head and body away and bring the next one while raising blade again.

Scaramucci tweeted about putting fingerprints on docs and having FBI/DOJ investigate it then, which is fucking illegal.

Why would you think that? Even if they were to pick up more seats there are still a whole bunch of flakey Senators like Heller, Portman, and Capito who could easily flip flop if repeal becomes a possibility. Heck, I'm pretty sure a lot of them did vote against full repeal anyway.

This bill was basically just to repeal the individual mandate, and even that couldn't pass. Face it, Republicans don't want to get rid of Obamacare. You are being taken to the cleaners by this fraudulent party again and again.

Sad! JFC does she not have close friends to tell her she looks like dogshit?
>>
We never, never, EVER should trust McCain. If anyone listened earlier in the evening, he and 3 other Republicans had a conference saying they reason they were not voting for the "skinny" repeal was because they were afraid the bill wouldn't go to conference in the House. Instead, they were afraid it would go back to the House for a vote and then go to Trump for signature. McCain claim all they wanted from Ryan was assurances that it was not the final piece of legislation, which Ryan DID tell them it wasn't! Ryan ensured them it would go to conference. So, apparently 3 of them - including Lindsey Graham - believed hem, and thus, changes there vote to 'yes'. McCain was had no intention of EVER voting for the bill in any form. He wanted to hurt Trump and he got his wish. We all knew the 2 same bitches wouldn't vote as did Turtleman. McCain stabbed Trump, Turtleman, Ryan, and the rest of the GOP senators just so the public opinion would look at him as the brave maverick that fucked over Trump.

Then do single player in every state then.
How hard is it? Oh that is right, it never had Proven that single player does not work in a large country. It works in germany in works in the netherlands. It also works in the USA, but everyone has to chip in. Trying not be a selfish faggot that only wants tax cuts will help a lot

Because you can name the three senators that did it who got elected on repeal. They've been shown to be liars while the other 49 actually followed through. The messaging has become we have 51 Democrats in the Senate.

>>
>>135254595
I think the main reason these cucks keep getting reelected is simply "name recognition". Most people do not follow the news closely like we do and have no clue what the issues are. They simply see the name they recognize and vote. If there is a way to fix that...
>>
>>135255073
Bottom line, the more votes we get the more power we have. You mention Heller, Portman, Capito. If we get 4 votes they plus Mccain and the other two cuckolds become irrelevant. 4 votes is pretty low end of what we can achieve.
>>
>>135254784
This wasn't a real repeal anyway, that's a different story.
>>
>>135255073
Well unless you can give me a viable plan to stage revolution, we are stuck in this two party (some might even say uniparty) system; Only thing that can be done outside of violent revolution is to identify /ourguys/ in primaries and vote out cuckservatives.

Any better idea? Because I'd be happy to hear them

Not even as a brave anything. He's acquired equal amount of hate from the Trump side now. This was all just a big fuck you by him for losing the nomination, being shat on by Trump, and now dying. His life was getting JUST'd, so he wanted to win at something. This was it.
>>
>>135255131

The three Senators who voted against the bill today aren't up for election until 2020 at the earliest, and even then are extremely popular in their states, so they will likely be around for most/all of Trump's presidency (well, McCain will probably be dead soon, but there's no guarantee his replacement will be any better).

Ryan and Turtleman should be purged too for being fucking it up this bad honestly; No reason to keep the establishment close if they can't even shill right for you

Oh, agreed. I'm not excusing Ryan or Turtleman. I'm just saying McCain was going to kill this no matter what. You can see the look of betrayal on Turtleman's face when McCain voted loudly 'No' and just walked off. Turtleman has fucked up, but he didn't deserve to have such public betrayal in front of the entire Senate

I jaut Remember someone telling me how terrible the aca was when it first passed. I wasn't that knowledgeable about politics so I was basically a liberal . How can people still defend this? They utterly destroyed an imperfect market, then raised the issue of preventing existing conditions to cover it up.So what happen exactly happens in 2018? Is there a rate hike built into the law?

>How can people still defend this?
Because of the mandate, it increases the number of people who have insurance. Democrats have somehow convinced people that health insurance increases life expectancy. Interestingly enough, Medicaid REDUCES life span:

>So what happen exactly happens in 2018?
More insurance companies drop out of the market (pic related). This leads to what economists call a "death spiral" which will inevitably lead to zero (0) insurers left to support Obamacare. That would force Dems to vote on a new bill if they want to have any sort of socialized healthcare, at least in the short term.
