im sure you can find European military surplus rifles easily there. K-31s out of Switzerland are a great choice. Swedish Mausers are another very good choice. powerful ammunition with soft recoil and if treated well will last fore ever.

Then get a bolt action rifle. Shotgun is good for home defense but shit for combat because the range is so short. 50 meters is about all it is good for unless you have slug rounds (1 big bullet instead of pellets), then it is good to maybe 150 meters.

Bolt action rifle is good out to many hundreds of meters if you have the skill to aim that precise. Your skill will be the limiting factor on range. The rifle will be more accurate than you.
