I realize you, and most of this board's roleplayers have been dancing around the concept for a while now; but nobody seems to want to come out and say it.
See; in generations past, it was much easier to control the flow of information. The internet changed all of that; and it took them a while to catch on to just... how-bad-of-an-idea the internet ultimately would be--assuming it couldnt be used for their purposes.
Its very hard to scrub the internet clean. This makes it even more difficult to change narratives and to update your narrative when its no longer at a personal / hardback level (as far as the 'end user' is concerned).
This is why society must fall. It must be started over once more. And it will.
