I know the idea of "just leave me alone and I'll leave you alone" is appealing, but I think a lot of people fail to take the ideology to its logical conclusion.

Society will not be defined by you on a farm with some rifles. The power will be focused in the same place it is now- corporations- except they would be exponentially more powerful now that state influence over their private property has been severely weakened or removed altogether.

No corporation, without state coercion, is ever going to willingly ignore the 50% of the population that is female. Those are countless millions of potential laborers and customers (who happen to consume more than men and ask for raises less). The natural competing drive to have them as workers and consumers will bring women out of the home, give them their own careers and money, and lead to the highest IQ women spending their peak fertile years in schools and offices pursuing their property. It is the active destruction of the family unit; it is dysgenics. Libertarianism is feminism.

As if that werent enough (and it is), you also have the problem that balance sheets don't see race or identity. No corporations, uncoerced by the state, are going to say no to the tens and hundreds of millions of people in the 3rd world who want to enter into the economy, becoming consumers and working for near slave-wages. Basically. Why assume I sit on my ass all day? Shedding non-truths and lies is paramount. But to arrive at objective truth we must shed our subjectivity which we cannot do at this stage. This is where philosophy crosses into mysticism/religion. I don't mean to be rude but are you well read in philosophy? My posts are well within the mainstream of epistomology and metaphysics.

Of course its not a badge. I just mean to show my views are far from extreme. The analogy of building a house with no materials is decent. Except for that there is one Truth that is impossible to get around. That "I" exist. That is the foundation. As far as shedding non-truths with a subjective brain goes its probably exactly as you expect. Experiments, observations, tradition, revelation, etc. Just because something is probably not true does not make it false. The shedding of perceived non-truths does not imply finality. One may have to go back and say "I was wrong".

I just wonder where this idea of "objectively knowing" came from and why itnis so entrenched in people's minds. I suspect is a coping mechanism considering that we live in a world filled with doubt and with little substance. I only believe in objective truth in the first place because of my religious idealogy whichis decidedly unable to be proven. If objective truth exists it should be easy to prove, no? Yet there is always that shred of possibility that any given truth is a lie/delusion. Its easy enough to formulate a plausible scenario where any observation made by the self could potentially be false. This limits our ability to truly "know".
