This board is far more concerned with pinning down the liberal's bullshit than they are actually invested in conservative policy, which is why policy rarely ever even gets discussed on 4chan's nominally political board. I have to say, I think a lot of the complaints that are aired and hypocracy that is highlighted are completely valid, people are very good at sensing when someone is or isn't genuine, and the liberal elite are anything but genuine. Their entire platform is built on the optics of enriching the lives of disadvantaged people, but many of their own policies run completely against it.

I think the perscription to fight that most commonly found on this board is way off though. 4chan has always been a place in which making any moral argument, or even mentioning morality will get you completely disregarded. This, combined with Trump, a man who flew in the face of these hypocritical elites and destroyed so many of the bullshit traditions they enshrined made him a perfect emblem for the board to rally behind.

Now that he's in power though, most people are completely unwilling to admit that he's a complete puppet for the GOP with a brain that probably has more holes in it than a block of swiss cheese at this point, because who else is there to turn to? The neoliberals dnc? The psychotic GOP base of tea party retards? Maybe some variant of white nationalism that will absolutely never amount to anything other than an image board discussion?

The disillusionment is absolutely valid, but throwing support behind the losers and geriatric assholes of the right was a mistake that a REAL left party could help ameliorate. The truth is, socialist policies are popular, but neither party wants to support them because it is such an immense blow to the ruling class and a complete rejection of their world view. Our generation is just starting to see this and think about the possibilities is so damn exciting.

First one Sanders said no one cares about her emails, a clip which was then used in future debate intros as his big talking point instead of anything actually about him. The Socialists right now have a poor grip on the actual proletariat (IE: The people who produce surplus value,) and no grip on the military. What they have a tremendous grip on, and what propels the Left, is the lumpenproletariat, or the people who don't produce surplus value but vote, and the intellectuals themselves. To raise taxes to the level the Socialists want, would create significant unrest in the system, by taxing the proletariat and bourgeois, for the benefit of the lumpenproletariat. How do you plan on dealing with that unrest?

Alright. We hit the point of 'wait-and-see' attitude. Historically, what happens when taxes are too high and benefits too large is inflation because supply is redirected away from investment toward consumption.

Even if you were a full-fledged commie, for instance, you would be shot for advocating for too many benefits to the masses because state-owned enterprises would be deprived of capital necessary to increase production.
