Where along the lines did the USA and Japan lose their machismo?
There has to be a socio-cultural point, period, or event that caused the mass transition of modern masculinity, especially with how much Japan downplays it today for some reason.
I wonder why. Japan doesn't have major problems with feminism and the overwhelmingly majority of Japanese women are indeed traditional or very close to it (at least when they marry and reach adulthood, I'm excluding highschoolers here).
US, on the other hand...
Maybe it's because they got used to the post-war lifestyle.

Yeah... the 60's.
Why is this some crazy enigma?
It affects Japan because America is a massive social influencer around the world. They are the people with the nice things that the rest of the world creates.

It was when action died in the eighties.
We changed to sappy bull shit in Hollywood and culture follows film so it's what we became.
Americans have always just copied what TV/radio/movies have told them to do to be cool and hip.
You are a retard to ask.

The 60s is undeniably where it all began, with second wave feminism and all that shit. But I think the 80s was the final killing blow
>mass commercialism
>porn industry boom
>the famous male musicians of the period were effimate as fuck
>gay shit went more mainstream
>video games
I blame hippie movement in 60's.
Sooo.... baby boomers again?
