Unless you are born with some sort of debilitating inherited disease, or play sports throughout your childhood, you probably won't see a REAL doctor for any REAL issues until your early/mid 20s. By this time, most females know the ins/outs of medical care, insurance, and the rigamaroo involved. Once you figure that out, you realize that single payer is a ponzi scheme. For example:

>Get hurt hanging drywall
>Go to ER
>No ID, No Insurance
>Get medical care anyway
>Never pay bill
>Hospital write off as "indigent care"
>Pass the loss onto the next customer by charging 18.50 for a single bandaid to cover a papercut

Step 1. Tort reform (no more personal law suits)
Step 2. Federally funded (taxpayer) Compensatory Fund
Step 3. Single Payer system with requirements of:
3a. Employment somewhere
3b. Maintain a BMI under 20% for males, under 30% for females.

You are dumb, taxpayers pick up the bill either way. At least with Obamacare the poor had incentives for preventative care which lowered cost, in addition to having to pay their premiums each month.

Under the old system, the poor still got health care, only it was the most expensive health care because they would wait and go to the emergency room. So you got fucked on your premiums to pay for their care anyway.

Again, your post just underscores how this is an ideological crusade as opposed to good policy. You can wish and hope for the free market all you want, but it was tried and it failed. That is why the entire developed world has socialized health care, and why we are still paying far more and getting worse service under a capitalist health care system.

Usually they are drug abusers who leave the hospital against medical advice anyways so doctors can't even treat them when they are having an emergency.
