The frankfurt school does not only condemn western culture and civilization, it critiques everything which is human.
Adorno and Horkheimer's book The Dialectic of Enlightenment makes the argument that for every technological improvement to civilization, there is an equivalent and opposite loss or reduction as a result.
They then argue that the highs do not justify the lows, and that ideal life is at subsistence.
Their work is anti human. A smart person can see through its lies. But pseudo intellectual "modern philosophers" love to eat it up.
Frankfurt school could easily be classified as a weapon meant to weaken the mental health of anyone who does not know what it is
