Oh no. He is just an asset of CIA. His movement goes back to 70's, various governments since than supported him thinking that it was only a charity organization. Thus they leaked in every possible governance position even to the army and you know the rest. Erdofag and his followers were worshiping to him until 17-25 December operations against AKP in 2013.

Come on, you can do it. It's not that hard to understand. The Gülen organization were working together with Erdofag until they want the head of MIT(National Intelligence Agency) to be fired and replaced by their own man. Even tho Erdofag consent to their demands to that day, he refused to do this and passed some laws to protect the person in question. This pissed of the CIA or whomever controls the imam and they used what they got against AKP and Erdofag, revealing their dirty clothes. See, the intention behind the action makes it an operation.

>>134585634

There might be other reasons. What I observe was that Erdofag tried to get out of their control and this pissed them off.

Our news media recently reported that after surveying Syrian refugees in European countries only 0.5% said they would be willing to return and rebuild, a lot of them uses children and non existent family ties as an excuse and if they are forced they will retaliate and stay by force.

Syria has a chance to recover at light speed once Assad neutralizes the threat, give it 5 years tops and it will have sky scrapers, see Chechnya as an example. But if separatists continue to be there it will remain a waring shithole for decades.

Also fun note, our biggest news publication recently suggested that Assad should just literary GAS THEM ALL and be done with it to restore peace.

Assad has massive amounts of support here even Bibi said he supports Assad as of recent.

so let me get this shit straight

erdomeme gets into beef with gulen because he didn't want to bend over to his demands
cia, instead of ditching gulen and trying to appease erdomeme to keep him in their pocket (by using the fact that he's in conflict with russia, a common rival), they choose to side with the guy that has no chance of toppling erdomeme. thus alienating erdomeme

then they fuck with erdomeme by telling him that his dream of becoming part of EU is a pipe dream, thus forcing him to turn to the east (russia/iran) to find durable economical partners. thus alienating him even more

now USA tries to create kurdistan giving no reason for erdomeme to even stay in NATO, thus forcing him to side militarly with the russian/syrian/iran axis to get rid of their common enemy: kurdistan

so far usa is playing to lose erdomeme and turkey

makes no sense there must be something more behind it

yup. agreed. but i think preventing reproachment with russia is also an issue. turkey could, through common interest leave the us sphere and join the russian one - especially if this means the turks get to play big in the region in exchange. detent with iran and russia would be terrible for nato.

>>134586306
so the cia would have begun making sure it could take control way back. in the 70's it became clear i think that turkey was different. military has always been a strong influence in turkey. the cyprus dispute etc would have made them start preparing long ago. gulen would be a good vehicle.

so eu rejecting turkey is only the most recent part

turkey and russia are not in conflict. that was turkey saying look how big i am russia, you need to work with me. and now they do. they have quite good trade relations. they work together at astana.

and turkey is in conflict with nato partners. causes a fuss whenever it can to exclude countries like austria(non nato) from nato trainings.

turkey can suvive witout nato. it can survive in russian sphere with regional partner iran and qatar.

retarded is the usa pushing turkey into a position where it's interests lie closer to those of iran and russia than nato.

turkey is geopolitically important, and is a rising power. can nato survive without turkey?

Israeli jews arent like foreign jews, a lot of our bad reputation comes from the foreign jews that arent even really jews they just use it as excuse so they dont get prosecuted for their criminal deeds. A lot of us in Israel are as youd say are red pilled to death. We have to deal with these threats everyday while the foreign jews think that importing radical islam is a good idea and that they will obey.

Some people believe in global conspiracies and that there is one group ruling everything with perfect foresight and omniscience and omnipotence.

The truth is that there's 7 billion people running around on this planet, each doing their own thing and having their own opinions/ideas/desires. A country has tens of thousands of people in its government and numerous organization and groups each composed of departments and subgroups and alliances and conspiracies and left-hand-attacking-right-hand dysfunctionality. Not to mention they're all mostly average people who (like most people) make mistakes all the time, and no matter how good your procedures, mistakes always slip through somewhere.

Nobody is in control, nobody can predict things accurately. The world is chaos.

>(x) doubt.jpg

well if u think about it, american sponsorship of kurdistan threatens the very existence of turkey in its current form. a kurdish state would act as sponsor to terror in turkey and possibly even raise the nationalist fervor of kurds in turkey. long term risk in that case is 1/3 of turkey in the east being peeled away and joining with kurdistan under american protection. Boom. Turkey broken.

the reason turkish and russian interests have not matched is because they have been on opposite ends of the divide. however, turkey may realise that the russians are not talking about creating a kurdish state that threatens turkeys integrity, no it is their 'friends' the americans.

russia and turkey could long term come to dividing the region into zones of interest that seek to entrench the status quo. and turkey needs to integrate with someone. that someone could be russia. i'm talking long term - 30 -80 years.
so you doubt is based on misinformation.

The US has no strategy. Or rather, they have 5 strategies at the same time. That's why the CIA is supporting terrorist groups while at the same time the DoD is bombing them.

but why not make an exception for turkey since erdomeme has too much control to be replaced by a puppet
they should manipulate him for their plans in ME and against russia instead of strengthening their regional rivals

turkey can probably play all sides or join either. turkey wants 'an understanding' that means it is recognised as the big boss in the me. it's not there yet. but which ever side gives it this new role will also be the side that turkey is friends with. if i were a betting man, i would say russia looks like a stronger contender in the long term to be the party that recognises these turkish interests.

There are also competing interests to factor in. The reason, for example, the US is so hard to predict is because you have to understand the schism between the Pentagon and the intelligence apparatus, and that is just to simplify it.

Trying to discern the decision-making coming out of Bussels (in terms of the EU) is a fool's errand, and I'm sure someone like Erdomeme finds it schizophrenic at best.

Side with Russia and do what? The amount of economic repercussions this would have would lead to a revolution within months, even without obvious CIA tricks.

In addition, if you're in NATO you just have to suck the US's cock, if you're allied with Russia you not only have to suck their cock, you have to let them fuck you up the ass first. There's no way Turkey would come out better by ditching NATO. It would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.

They were doing it since 90's. Seems like something has changed. Maybe it's Erdofag had enough of being their dog, maybe internal politics of AKP forced him. (less likely) There are lot's of possibilities why they hang to their assets. Erdofag is sick, maybe they expect him to die soon. Maybe they just increase the tension to see how far he can go, I just don't know.

Question:

Why hasn't Assad used paratroopers as part of his overall strategy yet?

I mean, say you drop 50 paratroops into an isolated army base overnight and overwhelm the small garrison, then just carpet bomb the surrounding area while dropping in further reinforcements. It's an easy way to attract ISIS away from their front lines.

But Assad / Russia has total dominance of the air. Plus ISIS are used to seeing cargo planes flying over to drop supplies to Deir Zor. All you need to do is get a couple of gliders, cut the engines and glide silently over some remote desert outpost where there's like 20 ISIS max, and take them out quickly and then absolutely destroy the surrounding area.

Absolutely, he's a pain in the ass, but he's (most likely) not going to walk outside of the boundaries, he's just pushing to see if he can move them a bit. It's a dynamic system.

He's not in an enviable position though, if he sides with Russia, the US will support Kurdistan. If he stays a faithful NATO lapdog, Russia will support Kurdistan. Probably not to the point where they can actually become an independent state, but enough to keep draining energy and resources away from Turkey. The more time they have to spend on dealing with Kurds, the less time they spend on being annoying to the rest of the world.

I have received literally zero serious rebuttals to any of the tactical suggestions I have offered.

Believe me kiddo, I defeated the Germanics in Rome: Total War 1 easily, never even lost a battle (on Very Hard Mode btw) thanks to the fact I out-manouvered their slow but effective pikemen formations. Want to know who has maxed out every single city in RT1? That would be me. Want to know who owns every single province except one? Me again. And I could take that province whenever I want to. I have 12 armies (full stack btw) surrounding it on all sides, but I'm just biding my time, invading now and then to defeat their pitiful army and then withdrawing again to see them attempt to rebuild their nation from the ashes. Assad would do well to take a piece of advice or two from a guy like me. That means paratroops. That means cavalry and bayonet charges. That means damming the rivers. It means paying for mercenary longbowmen from Lebanon. It means victory, is what it means.

I have to take a couple minutes to recall when was the last time I lied.
Sometimes I sit down and get melancholic about the broads I didn't fuck because muh purity.
Culturally, not that much. I don't support muh Ottoman, neither muh Turan. First 9 padişah's were extremely well educated in theology and absolutely based in ruling, but I always lean towards romanticizing the 12th/13th Anatolian Turko-Islam, benevolent but prude, spiritual atmosphere.
If I have to make a couple more political sentences; ISIS, Hizbullah, Saudis are all traitors that needs to be baked. The fall off Egypt was traumatic, the last beacon of Islamic thought of school have betrayed Mursi and sided with Sisi faggot.
>>
>>134591499
Syria has awesome paratroopers, and even if it doesn't, Assad can just hire mercenaries or trick some tribesmen into putting on a parachute and telling them they're going to Deir Eizor or on a free adventure or a training mission. As long as you draw ISIS away from the front lines, that's what matters. I even have an invention I am willing to give away the rights to for free: blue parachute uniforms and parachutes worn OVER desert camouflage. Camouflaged in the air? Check. Camouflaged out of the air? Check again.
>>
>>134590535
i agree. and a lot of the cock up is probably that.

but the overall strategic direction? in 15 years, since the fall of saddam, has been an increasingly dire and marginal security situation, declining economic situation and standards of living, which spawned a rebellion, which conveniently spread into the territory of an unfriendly nation...all just through clumsy ham fisted meanderings of a failed beaurocracy.

It's like they designed the perfect storm. A degenrate rot seeping through the fabric of the region. And they ocassionally did something flashy to show that they cared, but didn't quite hit the spot. and the rot spread. for fifteen years.

i dunno man. i get what you are saying. but if these guys work with multiyear objectives, then the scary thing is to start thinking that this isn't just the result of short term descision making and going on a ride hoping it comes out somewhere nice. even tho that can explain it. but it's not a good explanation.

Kurdistan is much less against Syria than it is against Turkey, though. In addition, the area is lost to Assad anyway, it would take so many resources to take it back violently - and for what? They're going to have to spend the next generation rebuilding the rest of the country already, why fight a continuation war?

Sooner or later the US is going to have to choose between Turks and Kurds. They'll probably shaft the Kurds (again) which is where Russia can come in.

Longterm overarching plans are an entirely different topic. This stuff gets done by putting a certain type of people in positions of power, funding studies, influencing media. For that there certainly is an argument.
I just wanted to point out that singular decisions don't need to be the best one can make and certainly never are

Good question. Because I think trench is where you are hardened and taught what actually matters. I also believe in the notion that a faith that is untested is no faith at all.
In here I'm surrounded by the heretics who aggressively desecrate every holy value that anybody keeps, but especially the ones that I possess. Their (((arguments))), standpoints all together forms a gestalt that is the bane of my essence. Because anonymity strips down unrelated human elements and purifies this to its utmost pinnacle, I'm actually challenged.
Remaining faithful after this exposure is something I weirdly value a lot regarding my character and beliefs. I also am humbled with the notion that we are all humans that are struggling with similar problems, some spiritual, some intellectual and some economical, an observation that must be inevitable for a person who have spent some time along this side of the internet.
It is quite possible that I may simply act dogmatic, and turn a blind eye to every atrocity that is thrown to my face here, but I think logical forms that I maintain which are built on my theological knowledge are not phony.

I don't think Assad is going to just hand northern Syria to the PYD/Barzani, but might allow them to run for office in municipalities it has majority population in. One of the major issues is reconciling the displaced peoples from the region that are refugees because of direct action of the PYD.

It is going to take years of negotiations, and will probably be undermined by multiple sources.

the legality of their presence determines the legality of the base in the end, there's just nothing specific about the construction of military bases itself (can be seen as a breach of someone's sovereignity as in UN charter art 4 imho)
Oh well, if only the US played by the rules...

Basically: Arabs in general have no military history post Ottoman empire or strong warrior code nor are good coordinators. Commanders are loyalty based usually and corruption is rampant. Moral is low and training is meh. Arab armies are garbage.

Fug guys. Had to abandon the last thread when I heard screaming outside my house. Turned out some pit bull had grabbed this sweet old dog by the neck and was shaking it about. The dog lived, but it was super spooped out afterwards and just wanted to have pets. Feelsbadman. 72 virgins to whoever can guess what the owner of the pit bull looked liked.

in afrikaans skyf has two proper meanings.

'kan jy die boek na die ander kant toe skyf aseblief?' i.e can you SHIFT
and
" 'n klein skyf kaas" i.e. a wedge, chip, even vinyl record and cdrom/dvd (skyfies met treffers!) mostlie rendered in diminutive - skyfie.

since the YPG claims aren't internationally recognized shouldn't the military presence be considered as an illegal occupation of Syrian government soil instead of a legal invitation from a non internationally recognized entity?

Well, Hadis is really -may Allah forgive me for uttering this word- problematic. They are said to be the words/behaviors of prophet, but when you look at it, they were passed down through generations and only written down after the 4 caliphs. It makes roughly 200 years. The credibility of these hadiths is doubtful and some of them contains contradictions with the entirety of quran. Verification process is too complicated to be reliable. It is said that hadiths have 31 degrees of authenticity, I heard this somewhere, don't know if it's true. The ones discussed in the debate I mentioned are insane and people like "Sifil" swallow them as a whole. This seemed like a very big corruption for islam to me.

There are people who reject all of the hadiths and see the quran as the only reliable religious source. Probably you are familiar with Edip Yüksel. He is one of them and has some interesting debates on his jewtube channel and he also touches on this subject a lot. I think he also invented a sect in islam for himself too. :DDD

>and legally, is the US presence justified ?
it's debatable but I lean towards yes
>since the YPG claims aren't internationally recognized shouldn't the military presence be considered as an illegal occupation
YPG occupation isn't illegal, insurgencies aren't per definition illegal, US occupation would be illegal but then you would need to attribute YPG occupation to the US goverment which is in theory possible, but it's very difficult to fullfill (and even more difficult to prove)all the requirements as in the Nicaragua and Tadic ICC cases which are "effective control" (financing, organizing, training, supplying and equipping +the selection of its military or paramilitary targets and the planning of the whole of its operation) etc,etc
>instead of a legal invitation from a non internationally recognized entity?
USA would justify their presence through some UNSC resolutions on terrorism , not via the invitation route (invitation by a non-state actor is not considered legal)
>>
>>134599545
>US occupation would be illegal but then you would need to attribute YPG occupation to the US goverment
and even if you can do this, the US can still justify their presence via those UNSC resolutions by fighting ISIS
>>
>>134598684
i'm not the guy you answered to
> they were passed down through generations and only written down after the 4 caliphs. It makes roughly 200 years
There is the chain of transmission to prove the veracity of the Hadith by showing the record of the people that carried the message until the day it was written down.
The strength of the Hadith depends on the trust ability of the chain of people that transmitted it.
Also you need to take into account that the scholars that compiled them didn't use one source to confirm it. They traveled across the caliphate to collect it from different sources that didn't have a way to exchange the information transversally in their generation.

>some of them contains contradictions with the entirety of quran
The ones that are in contradiction with the Quran are the one that have a small degree of authenticity. There is literally no Hadith Sahih (maximum authenticity) that contradict the Quran.

>Verification process is too complicated to be reliable
The process of verification consist of finding enough different sources that relate the EXACT same Hadith. Thus showing that they truly come from the same source and weren't corrupted during the transmission. .

>There are people who reject all of the hadiths and see the quran as the only reliable religious source
These people aren't Sunnis, they're korani. A very distinct group of Islam.

Ok
but since the YPG isn't reckognized internationally isn't the territory they control de facto syrian territory, thus requiring the syrian permission for a state entity to set foot on it ?
or because the syrian government is unable to apply state's law and control the territory then it is considered as uncharted territory under no internationally reckognized authority (like a no man's land)?

It took years but they didn't focus on collecting testimonies from small remote villages which cuts down some work.
If you want to dig more into the subject look at this

this is al-Bukhari the imam that compiled the """most important""" (the principal one, not that the others are less relevant, they hold the same value) book of Ahadith

YPG controlled syria is per international law still syrian territory,
that no man's land theory would require a failed state which also has a fuckton of requirements which syria certainly doesnt fulfil currently
Striking isis as per those UNSC resolutions doesnt require a state's permission as long as they pose an "imminent threat" towards you
>>
>>134600763
so why isn't the US presence technically considered as an intrusion on syrian soil since they don't need to be on syrian soil to conduct these operations (they can do it from iraqi territory)?

Turbo heresy.
>Verification process is too complicated to be reliable. It is said that hadiths have 31 degrees of authenticity, I heard this somewhere, don't know if it's true.
This is not even the tip of the iceberg and that is why I said " I don't mean to insult, but neither me nor you possess the necessary knowledge base to discuss something of that fundamental and broad topic."
Hadith branch is like Chemistry department of STEM. Just like you have math, phys, chem and bio, Islam have five branchs albeit it is more closer to the social sciences. This branch demands tremendous amounts of knowledge and technical skill.
Are you an architect by some chance?
Also the post below gives a bit depth, though I tend to avoid technical matters. It really goes above the head of those without correct initiation and familiarity to the Islamic school of thought.
I will go to sleep soon, but this conversation was interesting. Drop by to our little Assad circlejerk again.

Now your posts are more readable.
>There is the chain of transmission to prove the veracity of the Hadith by showing the record of the people that carried the message until the day it was written down.
And any Hadith Alim (Emeritus Professor of Theology tier) who is worth his salt is expected to the memorize that chain. Along with the entry level requirement of Hafız title with upstanding Arabic language mastery.
Surely we need not to mention that they were the exemplary muslims who lived what they preached.
Man, they were absolutely amazing.

Good question actually, was my first thought too
It's yet another grey zone because those resolutions don't specify limitations
It's still al debatable but you would need to win the argument on these grey zones on multiple occasions to be able to proof their illegal presence and even then, the US doesn't care that much about the rules anyway

Yeah but there is a possibility of a change in the hadith like every story that is transmitted from a generation to the next one verbosely. In order for it to be reliable, the sources of these stories shouldn't be aware of the existence of other sources about the subject and tell exactly the same story. All these "billing" doesn't makes sense to me, but I would like to know. Also the people who wrote these books "Kütüb-ü Sitte", said to be elected the hadiths from hundreds of thousands of them. Bukhari said to know 600000 hadiths and chose 7000 of them. I can't comprehend this.

And when you look at some of them, they talk about crazy stuff. I don't want to give examples to offend you but I can if you want.

>>134601009
Yeah, I guess you are right. I don't want to argue and come into a conclusion, I just mentioned it because I am interested and want to know more about it. But I cam just a critical thinker, that's why I question these. I certainly don't have the means to argue it.
