This may be true for NBA but NFL and baseball have a shitload of testing. NFL players routinely get suspended for taking mundane stuff because the testing is so strict. The 90s had a lot of juicers in baseball but past about 2003 they cracked down on it big time. Meanwhile cycling has "testing" that is repeatedly taken advantage of by professionals because the screening is weak af even though they know cycling doping has been massive since at least the late 80s

Keeping your heart and lungs fit like that probably helps a lot more than not doing it at all. Bodybuilders get a hell of a lot more heart problems. Bodybuilders like to die in their 20's from heart problems it seems, the worst those that mainly do cardio get is something like ruined joints, typically.

I really dont understand the bad blood between cardio and weight crowd...on one hand you have ultra cardio people who are always tired from running/cycling with shit muscle mass, and the you have builders who can bearly run 100m without taking some caffeine powder and have bad cardio health.

mixing it is the best for fitness + cycling is tremendously good for leg gain if you want them (I know you fitzizens are into leg gains but expect problems with finding jeans that fit), just do lower and intensive cadence.

I don't know that the science is very well established but I would suspect running daily of any distance is probably not good in the long run. I've completed multiple marathons and never run more than three times a week. Daily running of short distances performed casually sounds like a ton of junk miles that needlessly tax your cardiovascular system with little to no performance gain.
