You know I was listening to some BBC programming just last night and they were confronting the question of assimilation. The reporters were shocked and horrified that even in Germany the best they could do was find somebody who thought maybe 5% of them would assimilate, or maybe 6% or 7% at best after a few generations.

This creates a negative impression of all immigrants. Which the liberals, who tend to live far from the impacted areas, then dismiss as "RAACCCCIIIIISSSSTT". But imagine if we exported all our inbred hillbillies to the liberal meme country, Norway. How long would it take for them to refuse to accept Americans and would you not feel a need to apologize to Norway for sending them?
